## About

Singapore Writers Festival 2026 runs from 13 to 22 November, organised by Arts House Group. This year's programme explores how "truth" can be constructed, reinterpreted or concealed in literature and beyond ([Arts House Group, accessed 8 Nov 2026](https://www.singaporewritersfestival.com/)). Most sessions take place at The Arts House at the Old Parliament, Victoria Theatre and Victoria Concert Hall, Asian Civilisations Museum and National Gallery Singapore, with further programmes at libraries, bookstores, parks and heritage sites ([Arts House Group, accessed 8 Nov 2026](https://www.singaporewritersfestival.com/venues)). A Festival Pass opens more than 100 programmes, while keynotes and some other sessions are ticketed separately ([Arts House Group, accessed 8 Nov 2026](https://www.singaporewritersfestival.com/festival-passes-tickets)).

## What is on

The festival mixes panel conversations, lectures and masterclass talks, meet-the-author sessions, workshops, literary walks, games, children's storytelling and performances, in English, Chinese, Bahasa Melayu and Tamil, with live interpretation or translation at selected sessions ([Arts House Group, accessed 8 Nov 2026](https://www.singaporewritersfestival.com/)). Examples include a conversation on writing about Asia for a global market (14 Nov, 8pm, Victoria Theatre), a poetry game night with Ella Frears (14 Nov, 8.30pm, Arts House Annex), a session on the continuity and change of rural China in Chinese (15 Nov, 10.30am) and a translation masterclass with Jeremy Tiang (21 Nov, 1pm) ([Arts House Group, accessed 8 Nov 2026](https://www.singaporewritersfestival.com/)). Free programmes and a festival bookstore with signings after many sessions are also part of the line-up ([Arts House Group, accessed 8 Nov 2026](https://www.singaporewritersfestival.com/programmes/resisting-the-exotic-writing-about-asia-for-the-world))

## Keynote talks

Three festival keynotes are ticketed individually at Victoria Theatre: Stephen Witt on his book The Thinking Machine and the rise of Nvidia (13 Nov, 7.30–8.30pm, S$25), Amitav Ghosh on how writers can reimagine a planetary future (14 Nov, 1.30–2.30pm, S$35, listed as selling fast on 8 Nov) and Silvia Moreno-Garcia on writing between the real and the unreal (21 Nov, 1.30–2.30pm, S$25) ([Arts House Group, accessed 8 Nov 2026](https://www.singaporewritersfestival.com/programmes/festival-keynote-talk-amitav-ghosh-a-writers-reimagining-of-our-planetary-future))
