# Drama Centre Theatre

Seating is 353 in the stalls, 144 in Circle 1 and 118 in Circle 2, including 36 seats over a lift-mounted orchestra pit that forms a front-stage extension when raised. The Drama Centre began as The Cultural Centre at Fort Canning, whose foundation stone was laid in 1955 and which opened in 1957; it was renamed the Drama Centre in 1980 and moved into the National Library Building in 2005.
